Good choice. Here's how it works from here.

Confirm the package below, see exactly what happens next, and continue when you're ready to review the firm's terms.

flat attorney fee, one mark, one class included

Each additional class is $350 in attorney fees plus the $350 USPTO fee, settled with your attorney after your assessment and before filing.

Two classes on Standard, for example: $1,795 + $350 in attorney fees + $700 in USPTO fees, $2,845 in total at the start.

Filing intent-to-use (not selling under the mark yet)? A Statement of Use filing comes later, included in Premium and added in Essentials and Standard (currently $550 in attorney fees plus the USPTO's $150 fee, per class).

What happens next

  1. Accept the terms & pay

The button below takes you to our secure signup, where you'll review and accept the firm's terms of engagement, provide your contact details, and make your payment.

  2. Tell us about your mark

After payment, you'll get a link to a questionnaire about your mark, covering the name or logo and the goods or services you'll use it with. Plan on at least half an hour; it saves as you go. It asks for detailed information, telling us things like who owns the mark, what is sold under it, and, if you're already selling, when your use as a trademark in interstate commerce began and how you can show it.

  3. Conflicts check, then your search

We run a conflicts check (required before any law firm takes on a client), and then the attorney searches and sends you a straight risk assessment for your mark, typically no more than 8–10 business days after your questionnaire. The decision to file is always yours.

  4. We file and see it through

On your go-ahead, we prepare and file your application, then track it through registration with plain-English updates at every step.

How your money is handled

Your payment is deposited into our attorney trust (IOLTA) account, a regulated account that keeps client money separate from the firm's, and isn't earned until we do the work. If a conflict check means we can't represent you, it's refunded in full. Your USPTO filing fees are never spent until we file, with your approval, after you've seen your risk assessment.

If your assessment comes back high-risk, you choose: stop and take back the filing portion of your fee plus your unspent USPTO fees, try a different mark with a free second knockout search (within 30 days), or file anyway with eyes open.
